About the area

The nearest town is Begur which is only 10 minutes away by car. There are several cafes, restaurants, banks, supermarkets,  a butcher, a baker, a chemist, fashion boutiques and a weekly market. The tourist information office in Begur has helpful staff who speak English. Their number is 00 34 972 503155

The area where the villa is situated is undeniably beautiful, with hills covered in pine forests, rocky and sandy bays and inlets. There are magnificent views out over the Mediterranean around every bend of the twisting but well-maintained roads. Bouganvillea, hibiscus, jasmin and other colourful plants jostle for position in the many gardens in the area.

A few minutes down the road from the villa you come to the small, and protected bay, of Sa Tuna. Further afield on both sides of the coast are other intimate beaches to be explored. Within a 20 minute drive is Palafrugell, the service town for the area. A mile or so from here are the two resorts of Calella de Palafrugell and Llfranch, the St Tropez of the Costas. here you will find a small selection of hotels and restaurants serving delicious local, and fresh, seafood and many other dishes to suit everyone’s taste.
