How to get there:
Air travel
There are three airports which can be used to get to the villa – Gerona, Barcelona and Perpignan in France. Gerona (sometimes spelled Girona) is by far the closest and most convenient. Ryanair, and a few charter airlines, fly here. For Barcelona, there is a bigger choice, including Easyjet and British Airways. Perpignan also has Ryanair.
In a car
Some visitors like to drive from the UK through France. This can take anything from two days upwards, depending on how many times you stop in France. Alternatively you can consider taking the ferry to Santander in northern Spain and drive across Spain from there. This seabound route can be very expensive throughout the year and especially in peak season.
The best and fastest way is to fly to Gerona airport, pick up a pre-booked hire car and drive to the villa. Depending on the season and time of day this can take between 45 minutes to one hour. There are many hire car firms located at the airport.
By Train
The nearest station is Flaca on the main line from Perpignan to Barcelona. A TGV link is planned.
There are also train and bus services from Barcelona and Perpignan to Palafrugell and Begur
Approximate times from the airports are indicated here:
Gerona (approx 40 mins) Served by a number of charter airlines including Ryanair
Barcelona (approx 1 hour 50 mins) Easyjet fly here from a variety of UK airports and scheduled
